In yesterday's reading in Luke, I read:
QUOTE:
Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. Luke 4:38
I'm reading the TNIV study bible, and its comment on this verse at the bottom of the page was that while in Matthew and Mark's parallel accounts, both mentioned Simon's mum as having a fever, only Luke (the physician) said it was a
high fever.
It's cute that this is probably Luke's medical training coming through, colouring the way he presents his stories on Jesus. It's such a privilege to have four accounts of Jesus life from different angles.
