This parable is really weird! There seems to be a lot of details that aren't present in Matthew's telling.
Why don’t the people want the nobleman to be king?
What connection is there to the servants he gave money to?
Is the king supposed to be a picture of God? Does God reap what he does not sow?
It’s also very undemocratic… killing people who don’t like the government!
Any thoughts?
